If I was smart I would buy the ss/sc, but these guys got me excited about a new car.. If you don't mind, can you please post up some pics you've taken of your car? Or just a link will work too, thanks dude.
Yea, I wasn't really suggesting the MS3 per say, more of a general statement toward fwd turbo daily's. But I love my car. I've had good luck with it so far. I bought it brand new, almost a year ago this month and I'm getting ready to tip over 30k. (I drive a lot). I've had no issues, but I have my 100k mile warranty just in case.. We all know how my luck is with cars. I'm posting from my BB, so I can't link but it is stock as fuck and will stay that way.. They probably respond equally as well, or close to it as the TC's do with mods. Xandrakes is pretty BA.. I'm just too scared to mod with my shitty luck. I would love just an intake an tune. My only gripe is the throttle plate closes above like 5k RPM's... But you just shift sooner, or get a tune and its fixed. Ill link to my pics tomorrow when I'm able to.

Dude, I don't need reading glasses to see you drive an Integra and you're down talking cars that would wax your ass, in every category.

I know you weren't suggesting your car, but I think she'd like it. I read about the tb closing at like 5800 or some shit, which would drive me nuts so a tune would be happening the day I bought the car lol. Don't worry about the link man, i'll search threads made by you and find the one where you first bought, because I love in the interior shot in that thread. Thanks for the post man, well maybe, if she likes your car and can't decide between the two, I might hate you for it.

I don't know if you're on the MS3 Boards or not, but there have been issues with the oil lines through the turbos on those cars burning up oil. Just a heads up. Mazda has a service bulletin for it, I believe. Been a while since I saw that come out.

And it's always the same lines from Honda owners about Cobalt's. "It's supercharged and can only muster 205hp?!". Come on. The thing has to pass emission standards, as well as fuel efficiency standards. Pull the cat, put some injectors/pulley/intake on it and you'll pick up more power than your Honda will with every part under the sun.

Well, the only thing ill add the hatch back is bad ass for grocery carrying... Lol. But seriously, with my job I carry around a bunch of samples and hauled windows, 10ft boards and crazy shit like that. It made a perfect car for me, for work. Plus having 4 doors for friends, or if little ones are in the future is also a plus. I dunno what the market is on them if you ended up buying used.. I figure it'd be around the same as the TC. But kinda fits the description of what you're looking for. Good luck either way.

You can bolt a m62 onto an l61 and make more than that pretty easily (passing emissions), therefore, I was not impressed. No reason for people to get butthurt about it. Opinions are like assholes..

That is an ugly fucking Cobalt, Karlen.

With that said, I'd look into a SS/TC or an MS3. Waffles car is TONS of fun to drive, handles great, and hasn't blown up in the hands of the most cursed dude ever.

Why don't you get a used G8?

I like your car, she didn't like the wagon part of it, unfortunately. We aren't planning on having kids for a long time. I'm planning on buying a use truck soon as well, so we'll have a way to haul shit, and plus i've missed my dodge ram diesel since the day I got rid of it. I wish she would've liked the shaggin wagon, but it looks like a no-go.

I would LOVE a g8, she's kind of ditzy and would beat the fuck out of a big car in parking lots. Plus, she wants something better than her G6 on gas, (28 mpg). If the gas mileage wasn't an issue i'd get her a c5 vette or something. She'd love it but I'd hate to see her have to pay that much for gas compared to a cobalt. Even though i'll probably "coincidentally" get told I could drive the new car when it's on E. Lol

not that this means anything but I took a guys STONE STOCK 06 SS/SC with the lsd to IRP back when it had about 5k miles of him beating the shit out of it(proper break in) and I got it to run a 14.01 at 100.01. I was impressed to say the least.

best he could manage was a 14.15 at 97 haha

I'd say go for the Cobalt SS/TC. I drove one a year ago and I was super impressed on the changes they made. car drove awesome handled well and had plenty of go!.

but this is coming from a guy that drives Camaro's and Dually Duramax's daily....

Not a bad E.T. at all! Must've had a faceplated tranny... just messing with ya. I'm definitely leaning towards the TC...About 80% right now, I guess I just need to go drive one.

Sweet irrelevant post. I can make a 700hp car and still make it pass emissions, but's not a factory stock anymore so what the fuck does that prove? Think about what you're posting before you hit that submit button. I'm sure Chevy could've made the cobalt ss/sc a lot faster and still passed emissions.

My ss/sc was great never had a warranty issue for the 60k i had it. 30mpg when she drove it. I didnt have lsd, that was the one downfall to mine, and it did wheelhop in first from time to time, and prob not the best thing for her to learn to drive a stick on, maybe it was just me being used to driving a heavier pedal puck clutch but the clutch felt very touchy combined with instant boost it can be interesting for a panicy first timer, my wife drove it fine but it wasnt her first time handling a stick either ;) i didnt think there was much tq steer, and the car was very stable at high speeds, 140+. Im not sure u can get the red and black seats in a ss/sc with a lsd i think they all have the recaros. Correct me if im wrong.

Again, you fail. It will throw a rod at 250whp. Not to mention the ls and lt usually have rear drums as well as not as great suspension. This car is not a drag car it was meant to be a fun little autox car. Stick to Ur shitbox integra.
