Well another night out..

Got a new best, and a really good 60 foot.
But new PB wasn't much better then previously.
We just hit that wall that much quicker.
Dropped slicks down to 10psi helped a lot, just
appears we are just on flat ass tires. Track
only glued once, and only for about 60 feet if
that?

This was at 21.2 psi according to boost controller.

Forgot to pull headlight until the last run, but by then
it was muggy humid from the rain earlier, and was just
getting slower each run, and traction was getting
worse with each run.

We maybe done for the year.. unless we do one
more race some time in November. May do a dyno
run to see where we are at currently for the fun of it.

Over winter gotta do something about the transmission
and some other work to go to the next level.

If this is the end for the year, have had a blast, and been
really happy with the results of the car. T67 not maxed out,
heavy car (over 3000lbs without driver), still had boost
left on the table if trans wasn't limiting us, and traction
being a fight all year. I figure we could get even much
lower on the 60 foots ... have to try next year
to get to a real track for once that sprays to the 330.

Hopefully for next year, will have some things solved, and
maybe try for 9's.. Maybe time for a turbo upgrade if trans
works out to not be our limiter? :)

Looking to get a trans brake installed, to help make the launches
more consistant and can get to launch boost quicker. Like to try
and bracket race one day...

Manually putting fuel pump into high speed mode.

We disabled the RPM signal to the speed controller.

It should be boost activated still but we got into habit of turning it on over
the past few times out I guess trying to figure out why car kept cutting out

I msg'd them directly with photobucket account, clubgp thread, and
youtube channel.. see how this goes.

Car is not pretty.. so will see how this goes. They did have our
dyno run featured back in January. So maybe foot in the door :)

I don't think I will make the cut. Looks of the car accounts
for a performance magazine. The car looks ragged... cause it is.

They may now do a shoot out if they can get a few fast 3800's in one place.
That I would actually prefer more.

If so, hopefully they hold out until spring time. So I can have the next line
of stuff done to the car :)

well some updates...

Got new fiberglass stock style hood, new fenders, and front
and rear bumper covers. Got new trailing arms and lateral arms.
Factory arms were all bent to hell. So hopefully gets rid of some
the rear rattle at higher speeds.

Picked up a GMR 1200hp input shaft. Car is going to
Tripple Edge Performance in ft wayne indiana after new years.
Getting the transmission gone through again, anything worn
replaced, get the new billet 3rd clutch piston, and any other new
parts that can be shoved in.

One interesting part of this is the new converter from
PI that Dave at TEP is getting done. This will be a 3 disc lockup
converter. The GMR input shaft does not have the oring groove
cut for the TCC. You can get one cut, but then weakens the shaft.
This will be getting the hub of the converter cut to have the oring.

The converter is bigger and requires a spacer between the motor and
transmission. And can be locked now in 3rd gear.. also in 2nd, but I don't
think that will happen.. already into 2nd gear in under a second into
the run with some traction issues...

In hopes that this will help get the power to ground better. As the original
converter was taking a beating all year and last race day, started to have
a whining sound. The TCC slip was pretty high.. anything above 19psi
was not gaining any real results. With this, hoping to stay on the small T67
and try and get into the 9's before upgrading to a bigger turbo setup.

nothing to much..

Fiberglass stock style hood came in. Super light compared to the stock one.
~50% lighter.

Picked up the aluminum grand am brakes. Not really any better then
stock, other then being a lot lighter.. so good enough for me :)

Not sure if hood and body parts will be going on this year.. depends how time is to get
the body work done.

Car is loaded on trailer, and if 18th is good, towing it up to Ft Wayne, IN to get the trans work
finally started
