Need Tires? Tire Rack Bridgestone RE-01R BLOWOUT!
Well I was checking the Evo forums late last night and I ran into this and went ahead and ordered a set. The prices are absolutely retarded!
I bought a set of 255/35/18 for less than $400 shipped to my damn door. Normally well over $1000!
From Neal at Tire Rack:
Fresh into my email from The Man. RE-01's are being phased out for a new tire coming and we are putting them on special starting tomorrow Feb 24th. If you needed weekend auto-x or tires to beat on for a very low price I'd jump on this. Here's a couple common EVO fitments,
235/45-17 $116 ea (normally $211 ea)
245/40-17 $116 ea (normall $222 ea)
235/40-18 $99 ea (normally $247 ea)
255/35-18 $84 ea!!!!!!!!!!!! (normally $276 ea)
Get them while we have them online and mention my name in the order, or call me directly at the phone and ext below. Help me with the sale and we'll pass along the savings.
Here is the link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes....e=Bridgestone&
A lot is sold out so I suggest buying quickly.

I was going to post this up also. For the last two years, these were one of two hands down best street tires out there from an autox perspective (the direzza star spec being the other one). I know coolnick will chime in about the azenis, but these are eleventy billion (yeah, that's right) times better. From what I understand, they also hold up to DD tire wear very well, considering their handling capabilities.
These prices are making it tough for me to spend the extra $$ on the new RE11 that will be released next week.

Jesse call Neal himself and see if they are back ordered. He told me that they will be buying up the rest of Bridgestones inventory and will have more in stock first of March.

Damn, wish they had better sizes for 16's, I'd be all over that.

No sizes for me. Oh well. I did find out about the new Kumho XS, which sounds badass.

Yeah, all of the early testing I have read says it should be on par with most top-tier street tires, and is a fraction of the price. Definitely should be an upgrade over the rt615's. What size tires do you run on that beast?

255/40/17 front,
275/40/17 rear. I'd probably run 285s depending how they fit on my wheel, but the azensis didn't have that size so it wasnt' an option.

To anyone still interested in these, I believe most are sold out right now, but they will be getting another (final) shipment the first week of march.
