+1

The SR that my buddy and I built was sent there for all the machine work.

They're located at the corner of Limaburg and 18 (actually on Limaburg tho)

Thanks for the chat this morning.

For the replacement valve guides, this company is recommended for them.

http://www.pppcenter.com/

The length I am not sure as i take it, those need to be measured and they will cut to length as .100 was to be shaved off to allow more lift.

Some material to read/look at..

http://www.camarohomepage.com/project/part2.htm
^-- pretty good, lots of pics and stuff.
If needing to do valve seats, and replacing the valve guides.. probably worth replacing the valves for manleys?

We talked about the exhaust ports. These you don't want to hog out to O shape. If so it leaks from the manifolds. Will see in those above threads about it, or should I think.

Thanks for the links. I wasnt going to hog them out just shave a small bit out, but good to know! I'll keep ya updated on the progress with some pictures as I work on them. As for Replacing the valves, that's up to you. The ones outta your first set of heads, after a quick cleaning seem ok for recon but monday i'll spec them out a little closer. With the new set of springs there should be a pretty substantial increase in seat pressure, but if you've run them on your other motor and/or others have with no issues I see no need it the cost of buying Manley's

Manleys would only go in if current ones are shot... plus can get bigger valves.. put requires all the seat work... plus different valve guides as these are thinner but strong or some crap...

If can stick with stock valves i am fine with that.

Ok just call me to make sure i'm not on lunch. The guides and seats came in, i've got the rough porting and polishing done so i'm ready to install seats and guides then i'll do the finishing touches on the port work. Things are going well, a little slower than I planned due to the insane amount of work that came in last week. Besides that they should be back in your hands by the end of this week!

Basically trying to clone this setup to a point
http://zzperformance.com/grand_prix/...=411&catid=109

I'll have the exhaust parts here next week (manifold logs, crossover, downpipe, blah)

In a month or so, will be trying to locate a T67 ball bearing turdbo.
Maybe a bit bigger then I really need.. but will be plenty enough if I want to
break crap.

Will be running the ST4 cam, e85, and most likely A/W IC setup for maximum cooling.. wont look as "cool" with A/A IC sticking out front... but its a wbody.. the car isnt cool.

Engine setup wise.. 10's shouldnt be out of the question... transmission will be what limits me.... since GMR no longer makes the 1" chain, ill be snapping the 7/8" chains easily :( until someone makes a replacement if ever.

Steps on build right now

1) Finish up motor itself.. just need cam, bolts, gaskets, and intake manifold setup... and the heads finshed...

2) get the T67, and whatever bits to complete.. bov, wastegate, hoses, clamps, blah...

3) IC solution... pretty sure will be A/W ... pretty easy to setup there.. just gotta make the call on parts to order..

4) Spend more $$ in trans parts/build then I did for the rest of the engine/trudbo build most..

nice, sounds like a stout setup, why not the st5 cam and what size injectors? and lmao at the trans isn't that the truth, i read that zzp is supposedly coming up with a 1" chain set up?

For the heads getting done, ST4 should be good match for flow.

Plus doubt I will push limit of ST4... ST5 is just a bit more duration and lift on if i remember right... maybe once i get the heads on .. and turbo pipes and crap here. and lock in on turbo to go with... i will probably reevaluate which cam to go with... dont want to small.. but dont want to big of one either..
