I'll just be frank. I've never really driven a car (Tuned or Tuned-up & in very good shape of course ;) ) for "a-time" w/o trying to top it out at some point. And I've topped out my fair share of car/truck/bike/big-rig/earthmovers over the years, but heres my the most recent.

71South Cadillac Catera 125mph. 6/20/04.
Rt.32 04" GSXR600 142mph 6/25/04
75South Chevy Malibu 116mph. 6/28/04.

I really am not into the whole 'top speed' thing, but ive been well above the speed limit on a few rare occasions ;)

96 PGT turbo - usually let out ~130, but pulling HARD still (many times)
98 GXSR 600 - when im going that fast, i try not to look down at the speedo, but prolly a little faster than the speed in the pgt :)

I used to do that some years back when I would pull over 130 on this 1200 Katana I used to roll. Now that I'm older I'm just like the heck wit it and look down. I figure If I gotta give up organs to be free, I'm gonna make sure they've seen plently of action in the process. ;)

120+ in my Merkur XR4Ti, 74 West just past Rybolt. I say 120+ because the speedo stopped at 120.

Fastest in my current car is about 110... although I hit close to 100 today on soutbound 71 trying to keep pace with a S2000 and BMW Z3 going at it.

150mph CALCULATED in my old fox body 5.0. The needle was way off of the numbers on the 140mph speedo. Everybody knows that MOST stock speedometers are inaccurate over 80ish anyway.

is that a typo or am i seeing that wrongly? Im guessing you meant 140 because i know of maybe one NSX in the world capable of doing anywhere near 240mph.

In 97 I streetraced an ol friends 95/VR4 for him, and got 160+ outta of it. (He was alittle scarried of the car, and didn't know how to really launch or handle it no how)

I did the vss kill switch on my sunfire and my 200sx. its a cool trick not to many people use.
