There are some peopel that do tastefully mod their v6 mustangs, but it doesn't change the fact that the motors from 2005 - 2010 were worthless boat anchors. It's pretty bad when I run 12 psi of boost, that I could only reach 380 rwhp. When I had my 3.8 bird, 12 psi put me at 400, and I still had plenty of room to grow

Why not just buy the V8 instead? They weren't/aren't that much more expensive.

Ide like to have a BRZ but ill wait a few years to see what they come out with. The Genesis coupe is pretty nice also but a bit heavy compared to the BRZ and I like the subaru engines.

You also got the bastard child of V6 Mustang's. If you had bought one year newer you would have been making a lot more power with your setup.

True I bought the v6, thinking that hey, maybe I can hit 450-500 rwhp with this boat anchor like I did my 3.8. Needless to say, I failed miserably haha

I actually ordered a 5.0 and was quoted a price on my trade in about 6 weeks ago, that they said they would honor. When the car got here, they tried to lower my trade-in value by 4k. Needless to say, I went and looked at other cars

after I drove it when it came in, I wasn't as happy with it as I thought I would be. Although the fr-s is dog slow, it still handles a lot better than the 5.0 and my other mustang ever could. I will probably buy one in the future, but it's going to be a used gt500 when this car is paid off

What's wrong, are you mad bc your goat has the almighty lsx, yet it's still slow? Funny thing is, my v6 firebird was still more than a full second faster than your almighty lsx, and my v6 mustang was still faster than your gto is.

There will be plenty of aftermaket parts for this car, and there is always the possibility of an engine swap in the future (will most likely go FI). Feel free to talk shit all you want, your car is faster than mine in a straight line.

I don't personally care about your fetish for throwing thousands of dollars into V6 "muscle cars" that could've been made faster for less had you bought the real version with the eight cylinder engines. Furthermore, my GTO has what amounts to a full exhaust. Oh, god, it's heavily modified and built to trap that 108.5, right? Big deal, as I've never hyped it up to be one.

However, I'm kind of chuckling at you because you literally said that a Scion FR-S was superior to a Mustang 5.0 because it "handled" better, when in reality, utilizing REAL numbers and REAL data it does not. I'm sure the cars have great "road feel", but seriously, any 15.5 second small RWD car will probably turn like it's on rails because it doesn't have the power to do anything else. I thought my old Integra was a go kart because I could keep the pedal to the floor and just crank the steering wheel. Does that mean that it was better than the 350Zs that I used to claim it was? Hell no.

So, in reality, you sound like one of those infamous RX8 nut-huggers who claim that they have the best handling cars on the planet I guess in an effort to make up for it's entire lack of an engine.
