FS '71 240z & '72 280z
I know Im kind of breaking the selling rules on here but I figured someone might be interested in these. Ive seen these going out to my uncles house and stopped and got all the info I could off of them an got a few shitty pics.
Blue one is a 71 240z 4spd L24 engine. Look pretty decent. Minimal rust and the interior wasnt too bad.
White one is a 72 280z. 5spd L26 engine. Needs quite a bit of work as you can see from the pics. Did have some rust and few nice dents. The guy is asking 3200obo for them both. His contact number is 513-253-9772. The cars are located on 46 in Indiana going towards St. Leon if anyone knows where that its haha.

70-73=240z has L24
74-75=260z has L26
76-78=280z has L28
79-83=280zx has L28/ Turbo
84-89=300zx has VG30E/ET
90-96=300zx has VG30DE/DETT
2003+=350z has VQ35DE
newer 350 has an updated version of above motor

So they're wrong on some info. The white one has 280 tail lights, and other 280 features... I'm guessing its a 76-78... Unless there is some parts swapping done. Also it shouldnt have an L26 unless that was swapped in as well... The blue one looks legit, the white one sounds like a multi generational piece together parts car unless some info is wrong. 72 is a 240, 280 is a 76-78 with an L28, L26 should be in a 74-75 260z lol...

Just figured I'd give a heads up and small incomplete history class.

If that blue one runs and drives well, then it sounds like a good deal.

Blue one was bought last year from Savannah Georgia. It was driven back here. On the way back the front brakes started to stick. He parked it and had a kid. Needs brakes redone, minor engine work as far as a tune up. Owner said that it pops out of 2nd gear on occasion. He wanted about $2000 for the blue one. He said that he was planning on taking the engine and tranny out of the white one, which has a new engine and redone head in it, and swap it into the blue datsun. He could not comment on the floor pans or battery tray as to if they were rusted or not.

I am going to try to stop out and look at it in the next few days to check out how bad the rust spots are on it, but it sounds like the blue 240Z isn't such a bad car, just need to get the owner to work on the price...
