Guess you won't be able to go home and take a picture of your FTD from this event.....or your class win for that matter. Word on the street is that the other FSAE driver was in an older cart too...

I will admit, I expected you to convincingly beat me in RAW time, but I figured I would roast your asshole in pax(as I did) . Thanks for letting me almost beat you in raw as well....
1) I drove like dirty asshole, so that is the primary reason I sucked. I did have corded tires compared to new stickies on the other car, but even with fresh tires, i would not have been a whole lot faster i dont think, I was driving behind the car every pass. I knew where I was leaving time, but couldnt think fast enough on track to do anything about it.

2) Almost doesnt count except horseshoes and hand grenades, so I still beat you.

3) PAX is a fucking joke.

4) Yes, I lost several street cars (5 to be exact) , amazingly one on street tires. All of which are fast at cone dodging, with great drivers who have had plenty of seat time this year. (this was the first time I drove anything competetively since last fall)

5) The other driver (who beat me for for hte first time evAr) was in the 1997 car and I was in the 2005 car. Cars are pretty equal on setup as far as weight/power. He was a little lighter, but i make a little more power.

6) Thanks for still losing to me in raw time.

Honestly, I'm just giving you a shit(as I'm sure you would had you waxed on me). Hopefully you're not getting too butthurt over this.

1) You did raw time, no two ways about it....but it was much closer than it should have been given our cars.

2)Excuses are like assholes...everybody has one and they all stink. You may have been on corded tires and a bit rusty. I'm on 245 width r comps while any competitive M3 in my class is on at least 285 width tires, if not 315. I still have a lot of things left untouched that "need" to be done if I'm serious about this class....intake system, headers, mid pipe, weight reduction(seats, A/C, stereo equipment) front and rear sway bars, nice limited slip, shorter gear ratios....and the list goes on and on....

3) I don't always agree with all the PAX ratings, but to say it is a joke may be a bit extreme. If you look at the PAX for our classes BSP=.859 FSAE=.948. While we could both argue about how hard/soft they should be I would think we can both agree that a Formula SAE cart SHOULD be wayyyy fucking quicker than my BSP M3 which is exactly what that PAX rating says to me...

4) Look at the results from last years nationals...
http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...hamps-Tour.pdf
The cliff note version of that link is that the winning time is BSP was 129.000 The winning time is Formula SAE was 107.000. So, the FSAE cart was 22 seconds quicker on 2 combined courses that took in the neighborhood of 2 minutes. Cut that in 1/4th(the length of our course) and you theoretically should have won by 5+ seconds, not 2 tenths of a second. Also, the best cars from last year's BSP(Evo's, Sti's, Solstice GXP's) have been reclassified. The quickest car that fits into this year's BSP(C4 Vette) ran a 133.000.

5) Just for shits and giggles the winning time in SS(super stock) was 129.xxx. Unless you made your car slower that it was as a showroom stock car I think that would be a much more fair comparison.

....time to bring the Vette out and see where the chips fall

6) Finally, since I couldn't man up and raw time you I will say thank you for losing to me in PAX .

Im not going to get into a bench racing argument on how accurate PAX is, so I am tapping out.

I will say I have never liked PAX. Back when i was good, and even better yet when my co-driver, who was much faster than me, would win, wouldnt even be close to PAX. Bill would have FTD by 5-6 seconds sometimes, and MIGHT have made top 10 pax. That is stupid to me.

The idea of putting a multiplication factor on slower cars to make htem feel better about not being as fast as quicker cars and try to ricer math compare their times, is stupid to me.

And for hte last time, unless I am extremely bored, and have no fsae car to race, I will NOT be racing the vette in an autox.. I dont enjoy it. If I am going to autox, I am going to do it in the car I would get more enjoyment out of... I would have MUCH rather spent sunday at Camden than Turfway, but it wasnt available, and Bryan wanted to autox. PDX would be different, HPDE would be different, XXX track day would be different. But I cannot afford those right now.

That's not true. I will admit that Juicy was definitely the better kisser. However, he was also the biggest slut in our sorority so that's not fair.

Pretty sure Mike is was supposed to bring his 240 up to see who's quicker, but I'm not sure if he's still game after it was wrecked in the hit skip.

So cash in your rainy day fund buried in the back yard and come to the Mid Ohio PDX at the end of this month it's $210 if you're an SCCA member or $225 if you're not. Or just come up to Mid Ohio for the Club Trial which is only $100 plus a $35 fee for transponder rental.

I see this car daily at work. I will say it does look good and sporty.

Hope they do like Audi did with R8. Start with average engine, then eventually give it a solid powerplant.

I saw an orange one with dark wheels (seemed wider than the wheels i have seen on others) on the highway yesterday morning. Best looking one i have seen to date.

As I wsa driving by, i seriously had the same thought as everyone else in here "Yea, I would totally rock one of those if it was actually fast like it looks"
