stumped on brakes
I own a 2006 chevy Malibu LT with 3.5 Ltr engine and ABS. I just replaced both front wheel hub bearings with new ABS sensors. They quieted down a lot of noise I was having but now I hear another noise hard to describe but is get loud and then subsides a little and gets loud again with the loudest coming at about 50 mph. So I thought I would jack up the front end and support on jack stands to try and diagnose the problem. I turned off the traction control and put it gear but only the passenger front would turn, the drivers side was not turning. I inspected the brake pads ( should have done when I had it apart the first time) and found one brake pad almost down to the metal. I assumed the brake caliper on that side was not releasing completely and replaced the caliper rotor and new shoes. Jacked up the car again and tried to run the car in drive so I could listen to hear where the noise was coming from. The drivers side brake is still not releasing all the way but its better than it was. Now I am wondering if the proportioning valve is bad. The car also jumps the right when reaching about 45 mph. feels like only one axel has power at that point, very annoying. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for these issues. the car has 150,000 miles on it.

I would suggest finding a forum that people actually use on a regular basis.
