Intermittent starting problems
Alright, its a 2002 1.8t and I'm hoping you guys can help me out. It's been doing this for a few months as far as I know (Just got the car back from my brother who had it for a year) and hopefully I can get some insight or someone who's had the same prob so I can tell my mechanic.

Symptoms and Inferences:

Now this is an intermittent problem, so it doesn't happen everytime and it seems like I'll have good weeks and bad weeks. The car cranks fine - so starter/alternator are fine. the car turns over (tries to start). Then it just keeps trying to start. If i crank it for about 10 seconds, the car will act like its starting (Rev up) but it doesn't hold and just dies....after a few attempts at this the car just bascially floods and i have to wait 20 minutes before its even worth a shot.
It seems that when the car is cold i don't ever have any problems, but once the engine is warmed up is when I'm having trouble.

My guess...its fuel related, probably a fuel pump. Anyone else that can help me out?
