Well,
Yer better off with the Edelbrock, I'll say that much.
The old thermoquads- especially the one's made in the 80's were VERY tricky to work on, and even harder to tune. It was due to the additional passages, solenoids, etc for emissions controls.
I have a few at the house that I stripped for parts. I don't have your rods though- the one's I have are numbered much differently.
I saw a clean T-Q in Jack's last week sitting on the manifold of a 77 Cordoba.
Course, it is Jack's, so the carb was made of SOLID GOLD! no kidding!

Best place to look for parts like this-
http://www.moparts.com
or try-
http://www.dippy.org
of course there is 'ePay' and our friend Craig and his list.....

Two days and you give up?? Not familiar with the scarcity of Mopar parts are ya? They ain't Chivvys I'll say that....

Good luck with it.
Look for a the AVS version of the Edelbrock if you have the choice. Much easier to tune than the AFB version. But, it is more expensive.
Neither is going to allow the factory emissions to work- but the vehicles an 83 right? Ya don't need no stinkin E-Mish-uns do ya?

Take Care,
CC.
