The track turns in on itself to many times how in the hell do they plan on making it safe? I think it would be fun to drive don't get me wrong but from a safety standpoint I think its a poor design.

It is time to take the wraps off this one. We have been working in the background for many months trying to determine our best course of action regarding BMP. On June 20, 2013, there was supposed to be a Sheriff’s sale of the property on the Gallatin County Courthouse steps. We communicated with many of the lawyers and principals involved with this sale, including Brad Poppell, the original owner, trying to see what the best fit would be for the SCCA. However, at the 11th hour, the sale was cancelled. We assume a deal was struck between the current owners and the bank. But that is not the important part of the story.
While doing our due diligence, we uncovered two Covenant Restriction documents (we have copies of both) that make this property unusable for our kind of racing. There is a 55 dB sound limit at the property line with an allowance to 65 dB for short periods (the traffic from nearby I-71 registers over 70 dB). Also, there is an occupancy limit of 500 people on the grounds at any time; and there is a restriction of 20 cars on track at one time - great for track days and clubs; difficult for our type of racing. A quick call to the attorney representing the adjoining land owners confirmed that the locals would not renegotiate these terms. That pretty much ends the discussion. The SCCA wants to race there, but our hopes are definitely looking dimmer right now.
