i have a 97 dx 2 door coupe it has the 1.6 d16 non vtech in it.The motor is burnin some oil pretty good at 3000-5000rpms.Im lookin to do a motor swap got a budget of 2500 bucks, was thinking about k20 bottom end and gsr head?Undecided at the moment would be the best motor to put in it atleast pushin 160hp.

Not only are there complete physical differences, nor is the swap possible, but you might want to note that K20's use a slave cam setup, a different style timing belt arrangement, roller rockers, and stock will outflow even a B series head that has been EXTREMELY ported.

I own a 98 GSR, s13, and s14 240sx, so this comment come from experience. I highly recommend selling the civic and buying a 240 for less than the cost of a swap, and it'll be more fun. You can get a good s13 for $2500, or a crappy s14.

You will also be able to sell it for more of what you have in it, if you don't wrap it around a pole.

I can put a GSR Head on a K20 block. I've done it millions of times. I work for Long John's Machine shop out in Louisville.

Dude just save your money and go to pep boys buy some alteeza tail lights cuz they be mad tyte. Then go get you a coffee can and weld it where your muffler should be and you're set, you should be making like 350 wheel horsepower.
