Drove up to Chicago with a Friend yesterday to pick it up. Shitty weather on the way up there so I assumed it was gonna be bad on the ride home but it was perfect.

First impressions.....HOLY FUCK:eek6::lol:

Kawasaki was not kidding when they said it was the fastest bike they have ever built. The 14 may be quicker by a touch but god damn I have never in my life been on a bike that pulled so hard up top and will swing from 160 to 190 as fast as the fastest other bike I have been on Both R1 and Gixxer 1k would pull from 130 to 160. Though it slowed it's pull in 6th it was at 200 indicated (Most with my mods will only do 194-196 with mirrors so I'm guessing I was 191- 193ish?) and still slowly pulling. I just ran out of road eh..Race track :wink5:

My wife is still pissed as hell at me but I'm happy so far. Little disapointed in the wheels. He told me they were chromed (they are) but failed to mention that it was kind of a shitty chrome job and they are pitting, though polish up "ok".

I'm thinking a Dry shot and maybe some cams. And perhaps a few other goodies. We'll see how my wife settles in.

Will, Yes 190 and trying to make myself as small as possible. I fucked up my 5-6 shift just did not do it fast enouygh and that why I did not get it faster. I let the revs fall off too far.

Thanks Guys. It will probably not see much track time road course or 1/4 mile. I'm a terrible launcher at the strip on a bike (really I can admit that) and I would kill myself at the track. so just street duty and the occasional highway jaunt from this place to that.

I always wanted a 12. Especially after seeing all the busa killer tests where sometimes it won, sometimes it lost but it was always close and usually came out on top both in acceleration and top end. I also wanted a 00 because they are unrestricted on the big end and wanted the Candy Apple Green. I'm pretty excited and I don't usually get excited about this kinda shit.

I tried to take a couple more pics to show off the green because it's pretty cool in the light but ugh..This stupid phone.

No, but I was riding it around - it belongs to an old Yammie friend that also has a really nice '76 RD400, and just sold an RZ500. Another 2 stroke guy, LOL.

My RZ is yellow / black, and *someday* will wake from it's slumber in the garage... :mad2:

Cool. I so love the old Yammies. Takes me back to my youth I grew up watching my uncle and his best friend, the owner of Beechmont Yamaha (now motorsports) race the old YZ in motorcross, and ride all the Yammie streetbikes back then RZ's and Seca's. Those bikes have a special spot in my heart.
