The 98 was an 885cc the 00 is a 955cc. Just stepped up. They overlapped for a little while in the garage. Plus I couldn't resist getting them out in the same place and taking pics. Hardly ever seen one let alone two.

Nope wasn't me...i usually go but I have been playing softball like every night with my monday night league, metro tourny, and a thursday league. There is a guy from new richmond with one like mine. Then a few others in the area just not green. I know a guy with a yellow one, and have spotted a few white, blue, and black ones.

My dad grew up riding Triumphs back in the glory days of Steve McQueen, Bud Ekins, Gary Nixon, and Gene Romero. There were others, but those are the big four.

I'd love to have a Ducati, but right now can't really afford to mess with one. They are finnicky and need the valves checked and adjusted quite frequently. Nothing compares to the sounds of a Triumph triple or Duc Twin w/ dry clutch. They are just so unique.

Well my dad has an 08 Tiger, brother has a 99 Sprint ST, and guy up the street has an 05 Speed Triple. Then there are a few at the wednesday bike night in milford. Congrats on the 675!!!:willy_nilly: What color? Graphite, black, blue, red, yellow?

I know you do R/T, I almost bought a turbo wagon from you a couple years back (if you remember).
The 'page has been in the family since NEW. My father bought it in 1983.
It was on the showroom floor at Kenmont Dodge. It has every option available that year except the factory AM/FM Cassette (ha!).

Both are rare.
Only about 2000 GPZ turbos every produced between 1984-1985. Most are in Europe and Japan. Only a handful in the states and only a handfull still exist in the first place. They are Notoriously hard to ride...turbo lag is a bitch. Click the link to the only website dedicated to them....
The Rampage is one of 4000 produced between 1982-1984. I have never seen one more highly optioned. But- it is beat to DEATH.....my dad killed it, plain and simple, so it is awaiting restoration...the cap, by the way, has been on it since day one.

Yup-
Scary fast..not as fast as a modern Busa turbo, but quick enough to kill you!
Wheelies on command, just spool it up, I've held the front wheel up through all 5 gears and got scared and let out of it (it was still accellerating....)
As I said above, only about 2000 ever made.
Check the website I listed (it's a European site) and learn everything you ever wanted to know about them.
On that site you will find a guy who is making close to 300 hp at the rear wheel, and another who has had his up to 220+ mph. Both on the stock block and mostly stock internals. Kaw knows how to build a stout machine.

Why they don't do this today is that basically they got factored out of existence along with the other turbo bikes (honda, suzuki, and yamaha all made factory turbo bikes) by insurance companies and the EPA. This thing is factory digital fuel injected, turbocharged, and has big disc brakes front/rear as well as an air suspension (forks and rear shock are air adjustable). Pretty technically advanced. This also means they were very $$$$. You could by a very nicely loaded GPZ1100 for the same money, not to mention the top-dog bikes from the other manufacturers were also less expensive than the turbo...so that is why so few were produced. Not much demand after the novelty wore off. Kaw just built them to get bragging rights to having the fastest production bike for 1985, which is was. Tom Cruise rode one in Top Gun as well, if you feel like watching a cheesy 80's flick sometime.

It is definitely not a bike for the 'inseam' challenged. It is tall.
A friend of mine who has a later model R6 said it felt like he was sitting on a fence rail or a sawhorse. Had a BIG grin on his face though when he rode it.
I had to fold myself in half to ride the R6. Modern sportbikes feel really, really small to me, with few exceptions.

Heres my new addition, went for something a little more comfy so i can incorporate riding into commuting and go on some long trips with the old man. The RC just didnt fit that bill. Im pretty happy with this, put 120ish miles on it today and loved it. Not a rocket but not slow either, handled great, and that V4 is a beautiful sound.

Gotta love Honda....still doing the same thing they did when the started the company and still doing to VERY VERY WELL....
I love the Honda inline 4's (and 6's for that matter). Always reminded me of 'half a Ferrari' or 1/3 in this case- same gut wrenching sound, particularly in the 8-10,000 rpm range, when they REALLY come to life.

I rode the first generation Interceptors back in the 80's and they were both fast and very comfortable. And they still, IMHO, build the nicest of the commuter/sport bikes. You have to go retro- ZRX1200R, Triumph Bonneville, etc, before you find anything near as comfy as a Honda...

Thanks. Im pretty happy with the V4 powerplant so far...My first bike was an inline 4 600, then a 1000 twin and now this 800 V4 and its a good mix: ok low end, great mid, and decent top...

Got another bike, this one is for the dirt. Had it about a month so far. Its a 1984(haha I know) Yamaha IT200. I've never had a 2stroke before. Took me a bit to figure out how to get it running well but when I did I was impressed with how well it moved out for being so old and being only 200cc's. The brakes SUCK!!!!! Drum front and rear. Any good places to ride around here???

hey man, sorry it took so long to get back to you, it is not a special edition. 2008 raven r1. i have greggs flushmount turn signals on the front, an integrated tail in the back, pig spotter mirrors, dark smoked puig wind screen, fender eliminator, power commander, bmc air filter, and dual akrapovic slash cut slip ons with cat-eliminating y-pipe. mostly small cosmetic work, but i hate all the shit coming off the side of the bike, ie turn signals, mirrors, etc, i like it stream lined. i also have a cowl rear seat that is not on the bike in the pictures.

I kinda like the look. It would need a light obviously, and a few cables and wiring tucked away. Wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a rats nest of brake lines, harness, radiator, fans and hoses. I was bored today after work lol, took all of 20 minutes though. Left the reflectors on just for you r/t. Its strange riding it like that. It'll go back together soon, I was just bored, enjoy.

I can't the pics I wanted to post along with these to show the finished product that has a very small front/upper headlight fairing assembly type thing and modified lowers. Oh well I fail, I'll keep searching.

Stock rear wheel was 18x5.5 with a 180 mm tire...new wheel is 18x8.5 and has a 240 mm tire stretched to just over 250 mm's.....still inside the stock swingarm and outter fender with a little massaging.

She looks much better with the tire tucked in the fender when I'm on it. :devil:

:lol: took me bout 1.5 riding seasons to actually "master" gettin it to that and holdin it up at BP. Ive bout shit myself many many times when I first started doin to b/c i thought i was so far back but then my friends told me I was only like 10 inches off the ground. :lol:

PS if anyone has a slip on for this thing or full exhaust, and isn't a fucking jew, and it's not beat to goddamn death, I'd be interested in purchasing it.

yeah, when we were out riding, i thought it would be funny to pop into second and give hell right next to xander. But it poped to 1st, and i pulled a wheelie and i think i actually did shat my pants. He prob lol'ed for ten min at me.

That pic was when I had my 03 750 with a sprocket kit...I have a 04 1k now...but no wheelies for me on the 1k. I'd prob kill myself. :lol:
