I just got the cars chip installed today and took it out for a test drive third gear and up at full throttle she fights herself and was popping something fierce sounded like it was back firing. Ive got 650cc injectors full throttle afpr and a walbro 190 in the tank. the chip is set for it all I ordered it from dsmchips.com its the stage three I dont know if this information helps but Just trying to get this problem fixed. Is it possible that I have a boost leak?
do you have a wideband? check the plugs to see if they are melted.

Check your plugs! You can tell if you're rich or lean based on what your plugs look like.

You mean your base fuel pressure is 43? Is your car a 1 or 2g? 1 suppose to be 38.5 lbs, and 2gs are suppose to be 43 psi. Not that you need to, but you can change your base pressure, as long as your chip is tuned for it. I think that is what you meant when you said "my fuel pressure is. tuned for 43psi and according to my gauge thats where it is at.
When you are reading your gauge are you checking it with the vac line off the regulator? Thats the way it should be done.
You cant really read the plugs on a street car. Reading the plugs is only acurate if you make a pass/do a pull, and shut off as soon as you close the throttle, then pull the plugs and read them. Also once you read them once, unless it is leaner then the pass/pull before, your not going to get any usefull info.
In this case maybe if a piece of fthe spark plug was melted you could tell that it was lean lol.
The mods you listed in the original post... did you change all of those since the last time it was running right? And are they the only things you changed since it was running right?
What are the rest of the mods to the car?
You really should not be close to running lean.
Usually with a boost leak it spits and sputters not backfire.
Need more info on the car and what you have done since the las time the car ran fine...

If your two step is wired off the top clutch switch you could be barely resting your foot on the clutch pedal and engaging the 2 step, this happens all the time with DSMlink. Again, that shouldn't make it backfire.
Those DSMchips kind of suck because he doesn't lean it out enough, rich sputter is really common.
Crappy plug wires are really common as well.

how do i activate and deactivate the stutter box i thought it was by pushing clutch in one when the key is turned over but car is not on. I connected the stutter box wire to the grean and black one on clutch sensor and the black and white on on ecu. is that the right wire or what
