1991 niassan 300zx tt idle issues?
Car limps at idle. 800 to 1100 rpms. No other issues. Codes check 55. The only light on instrument panel is for "hicus". Another issue. Car runs great, will idle without dieing, not other problems. Coil packs were first thought, but i have no clue how to check. Should i pull and check each plug individually. Could i run a voltage meter over wire to test for inconsistancies? Idfk. Any suggestions are helpful.

Maybe check fuel filter, maybe check your plugs... if it were something electrical it would throw some sort of code.

No code, pulled wires found #5 cyl. Dead. Fix, buy coil pack from advanced for 62 bucks. Wait 3 days. Car will hopefully run good. Thanks for recommendations. Will post back when new parts are on.

Check the resistance of the injector on cylinder 5 to rule that out. spec is 10-14 ohms.

don't just go buying a coil pack without making sure first. Switch it with a known good one to make sure it's not something else. Could be an ignitor chip, injector, spark plug, who knows.

Listen to Eric

Injectors in these things are about as unreliable as it gets.
